Boss Media casinos only offer a regular blackjack game, but some specific places do offer a single-deck option for players to enjoy. This option is the only variation known that actually gives the player the advantage when playing long-term. Game play in Boss, is slower compared to the other major software providers, turning off the dealer sounds and the music helps. The following are the house rules for both blackjack variations that Boss offers and the specific house advantage (HA) percentage:
Blackjack – 6 deck shoe, dealer peeks on 10s and Aces, dealer stands on soft or hard 17, double on any two cards, double after split, split up to 2 hands, Aces split only once. HA = .46%
Single-deck Blackjack – 1 deck shoe, dealer peeks on 10s and Aces, dealer stands on soft or hard 17, double on any two cards, double after split, split up to 2 hands, Aces split only once. HA = +.11% in favor of the player.
Not all Boss casinos offer the single-deck variation. It is to the player’s best interest, though, to try and find one or more that does offer it. Some Boss casinos will adjust the player’s betting limits for this game; for example, in one Boss casino, a player can only wager between $5 and $50 if they are playing the single-deck version.
Also, some Boss casinos will change other blackjack rules in the single-deck version, such as when a player can double or when the dealer stands on 17. These changes, though still played with a single deck, bumps the house advantage back in favor of the house. |
