There are 363 air-conditioned guestrooms at the Grand Paradise Playa Dorado, all of which are located in a cluster of attractive, low-rise, Victorian-style buildings. Each of the rooms feature French doors that open out on to latticed balconies or patios that offer views of the resort’s gardens or the ocean. Tropical décor is typical and authentic rattan furniture, floral fabrics and terra cotta tile floors all contribute to a very Caribbean theme. Each room includes cable TV, telephones, a safe, walk-in closets and tiled bathrooms with a shower/tub combo.
While the majority of rooms are standard, there are 73 spacious suites available that include a separate living area as well as a kitchenette with a minifridge. |

Complimentary drinks are served throughout the night and the casino is only closed for a few hours very early in the morning for maintenance. |

Because the Grand Paradise Playa Dorado is all-inclusive, most of the restaurants and bars in the resort are included in the room rate. Overlooking the Caribbean Sea, Hibiscus is an open-air restaurant that serves a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Eden’s features grilled fair for dinner and is open again from noon until 4:00p.m. and again from midnight to 1:00p.m. for a quick bite. Specializing in burgers and fast foods, the restaurant is a great place to grab a casual meal.
The most elegant restaurant in the resort is Michelangelo’s, an Italian eatery that features an a la carte menu and offers a great romantic ambiance. There are several bars scattered throughout the resort that provide appetizers and cocktails and the Crazy Moon disco, open until 4:00a.m., serves drinks for those who are dancing the night away. |
