One of the largest in the Caribbean, the Renaissance Jaragua Casino is set right off the lobby and is a combination of a gambling mecca and entertaining night club. Table games, such as blackjack, roulette and poker, combine with slot machines and sports betting in nearby Champions sports bar, which offers an American-style experience at night. Drinks are served throughout the floor and musicians play each night in the small Merengue lounge, which is attached to the casino. |

Three restaurants and one lounge are located on the property of the Renaissance Jaragua Hotel and there are several other island eateries within walking distance. Open only for lunch, Bar Del Sol services international cuisine and is a popular spot for both travelers and locals. Champions Sports Bar & restaurant, located right off the casino, is considered the top sports bar in Santo Domingo and offers a lively, casual atmosphere. Serving American comfort foods, such as French fries and hamburgers, as well as cocktails, the restaurant features several flat screen televisions that display sports.
A more elegant environment can be found at the Quisqueya Restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Serving an international menu at dinner, the restaurant features a breakfast buffet and an a la carte lunch. For appetizers and drinks, visit the Merenge Bar & Lounge, where there’s live entertainment from 6:00p.m. until 3:00a.m. every night. |
