Visa Debit is a debit card known as the Visa Check Card in the US and was formerly known as Visa Delta in the in the UK and Ireland. Visa Debit gives consumers the convenience of a credit card but accesses funds on deposit rather than a credit line. It can be used for telephone orders to Internet transactions. Cardholder authorization can take place with a personal identification number (PIN) with or without electronic POS authorization.
